Treatment with atrial natriuretic peptide induces adipose tissue browning and exerts thermogenic actions in vivo

چکیده
Abstract Increasing evidence suggests natriuretic peptides (NPs) coordinate inter-organ metabolic crosstalk with adipose tissues and play a critical role in energy metabolism. We recently reported A-type NP (ANP) raises intracellular temperature cultured adipocytes low-temperature-sensitive manner. herein investigated whether exogenous ANP-treatment exerts significant impact on vivo. Mice fed high-fat-diet (HFD) or normal-fat-diet (NFD) for 13 weeks were treated without ANP infusion subcutaneously another 3 weeks. significantly ameliorated HFD-induced insulin resistance. HFD increased brown tissue (BAT) cell size the accumulation of lipid droplets (whitening), which was suppressed by (re-browning). Furthermore, induced enlarged inguinal white (iWAT), crown-like structures epididymal WAT, hepatic steatosis, all substantially attenuated ANP-treatment. Likewise, markedly UCP1 expression, specific marker BAT, iWAT (browning). also further expression BAT NFD. Accordingly, cold tolerance test demonstrated ANP-treated mice tolerant to exposure. In summary, administration ameliorates resistance attenuating steatosis inducing browning (activation thermogenic program), leading vivo thermogenesis during

Evaluation of Serum Levels of N-terminal Pro Brain Natriuretic Peptide and Atrial Natriuretic Peptide in Neonates with Respiratory Distress
Background: Acute respiratory distress (ARD) is a critical respiratory failure due to lung injury of neonates leading to the clinical appearance of poor lung compliance. The aimed of the study was to evaluate the diagnostic values in differentiating respiratory from heart diseases with using of N-terminal pro brain natriuretic peptide (NT-pro BNP) and Atrial natriuretic peptide(ANP) in neonates...

متن کاملAtrial natriuretic peptide is involved in renal actions of moxonidine.
Moxonidine, an antihypertensive imidazoline compound, reduces blood pressure by selective activation of central imidazoline I(1)-receptors and inhibition of sympathetic nerve activity and by direct actions on the kidney, with both mechanisms resulting in diuresis and natriuresis. We hypothesized that the hypotensive and renal actions of moxonidine may be mediated by atrial natriuretic peptide (...
متن کاملAtrial Natriuretic Peptide Induces Postprandial Lipid Oxidation in Humans
OBJECTIVE Atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP) regulates arterial blood pressure. In addition, ANP has recently been shown to promote human adipose tissue lipolysis through cGMP-mediated hormone-sensitive lipase activation. We hypothesized that ANP increases postprandial free fatty acid (FFA) availability and energy expenditure while decreasing arterial blood pressure. RESEARCH DESIGN AND METHODS...
متن کاملWhite adipose tissue browning and obesity
Obesity and metabolic disorders are major health concerns worldwide. Although a range of therapies have been developed, these pharmaceutical treatments often have adverse side effects or limited efficacy. Therefore, there is a growing need of novel therapeutics to prevent or treat obesity. Obesity is thought to be caused by an imbalance between energy intake and energy consumption. Increasing e...
